Parkes Street General Practice is a fully accredited surgery and has been servicing the Helensburgh community for over 30 years. Constantly we are praised for our warm, caring and welcoming environment and the exceptional care given to patients by our Quality Doctors. We are a family friendly medical practice, aiming to provide full general medical care and advice on all health related matters.

Dr Martin Gellatley

Dr Gellatley is the founding member of this practice, which began in 1982. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1978 and has a wealth of experience in primary health care and emergency medicines.

Dr Meng Chen

Dr Chen graduated from the University of Sydney in 1986 and obtained a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 1994. He continues to work in both general practice and in accident and emergency and has a keen interest in musculo-skeletal medicine and sports medicine.

Dr Cindy Htet

Dr Htet graduated with an M B B S in 2005 and has experience in family medicine, both in Australia and Overseas. She received a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2015 and has a keen interest in skin cancer, women's health and cosmetic procedures and has achieved post graduate qualifications in these areas.

RN Alison Fawcett

Alison Fawcett, a nurse for over 40 years, began her career in South Africa. Her family’s life path has taken them all over the world. They have lived in 7 different countries and Alison has been able to work as a nurse in 5 of those countries. This brings with it a wealth of experience and ability to work with patients of different backgrounds.

Alison is passionate about nursing and encouraging patients to maintain their health and not just treat ill-health. She is nurse immuniser and a cervical screening provider. She has worked in General Practice for the past 34 years and loves the age range, range of ailments and continuity of General Practice.

Rebecca Trevillian

Has over 10 years experience working in General Practice Administration as a Receptionist and a Practice Manager. Bec is a qualified Social Worker and enjoys being able to provide a supportive and efficient environment for patients and staff. Bec is a mum of two small children, enjoys bush walks and making upcycled fabric jewellery.

Elisabeth Andrews

Elisabeth is our qualified Laser Technician. She enjoys making people feel welcomed and confident in our practice, as well as helping patients with any enquiries. Elisabeth lives locally and is kept busy by her young family.

Georgia Herbert

Georgia is new to general practice and loves every minute if it! Georgia is a university student and currently holds a Diploma of Policing Practices. Since working in the practice, she has gained a keen interest in mental health and will next year be going on to study a Bachelor of Psychology. When not at work, Georgia enjoys spending time with her two dogs Bruiser and Calvin.

Tegan Crabb-huf

Tegan is relatively new to General Practice and is really enjoying working with the community. 

She enjoys helping the patients in anyway that she can, so they achieve the best health outcomes possible. 

Tegan lives locally and is very passionate about her fitness and cooking, as well as hanging out with her friends.

Sasha

Sasha arrived earlier this year to assist the Vaccination Hub, and has since happily settled in with the General Practice. Sasha is currently studying Nutritional Medicine, and is passionate about the preventative effects of a healthy diet and lifestyle. 
When not working, she enjoys quality time with her sausage dog, Frankie San Francisco, and spending as much time at the beach as possible.

Dr Sally Mon

Dr Mon has variety of experiences in both emergency and general practice setting. She is a fellow of RACGP. She also has completed Sydney Child Health Programme. She is particularly interested in women's and children's health.

Dr Akash Thakkar

Dr Thakkar graduated with an MBBS from the University of Western Sydney in 2012 and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He enjoys all aspects of general practice, and has completed a Diploma in Dermatology, and a Professional Certificate in Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr Vladimir Koleda

Dr Koleda has been running a private practice in Smithfield for more than 40 years and served that local community for 50 years.  In addition, he has spent 30 years providing after hours and emergency support for the Sydney Medical Service as well as being the primary General Practitioner for multiple nursing homes. 
 
In addition to 50 years General Practice experience, Dr Koleda brings with him experience in obstetrics & gynaecology and importantly a smile and a dry joke or two to help make the experience of going to see the doctor a little more comfortable.
 
Dr Koleda will help expand access to medical services to the local Helensburgh community by making himself available for consultations on Friday, Saturday and for the first time on Sunday.
